Our events are played by the RCGA rules, and Golf4Cash Events uses the official RCGA formula for handicaps. That way you know that your cap is an honest reflection of your ability. Many people think that their handicap is merely an average of their last games, but the system is much more complex than that. It adjusts to best reflect your capabilities, and that’s why it’s a bit harder to understand than simply averaging out your rounds.
To start out, we need a verifiable handicap before you enter your first event, but if you don’t have one, our golf director will be able to help you with that. Your handicap is then your responsibility to maintain and update according to the rules. You don’t want to be disqualified for not having your honest scores up to date.
All handicaps are fully reviewed by the golf director/handicap committee and are also subject to full peer review.
All events are the total gross score, minus the player’s handicap, which is based on the course and tees used, that create the final tournament score.
